Our verdict
Take Profit Trader runs a straightforward one-step futures Test with an end-of-day trailing drawdown and no daily loss limit, then lets PRO traders withdraw from the first day — once they build a buffer equal to the drawdown. The catch is that the PRO account switches to an intraday trailing drawdown. It suits disciplined intraday futures traders who want fast access to profits.

Overview
Take Profit Trader (TPT) is a futures prop firm built around one idea: once you are funded, you should be able to withdraw quickly. Its Test is a single evaluation step with a monthly subscription, and passing moves you to a PRO account for a one-time activation fee. Figures below were checked against TPT-published rules summarized in mid-October 2026; TPT updates terms often, so confirm them in your dashboard.
Test rules by size
| Account | Profit target | Max drawdown (EOD) | Max size | List price / month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25K | $1,500 | $1,500 | 3 / 30 micros | $150 |
| 50K | $3,000 | $2,000 | 6 / 60 micros | $170 |
| 75K | $4,500 | $2,500 | 9 / 90 micros | $245 |
| 100K | $6,000 | $3,000 | 12 / 120 micros | $330 |
| 150K | $9,000 | $4,500 | 15 / 150 micros | $360 |
The Test drawdown follows your highest end-of-day balance and stops trailing at the starting balance — but if your balance touches the floor during the day, the account fails. There is no daily loss limit. Your best day must stay under 50% of your total profit; if it doesn’t, the effective target rises to more than twice your best day.
The PRO account and the buffer
After passing you pay a one-time $130 activation fee (some promotions waive it). Two things change in PRO:
- The drawdown trails intraday, following your peak balance including unrealized profit, until it reaches the starting balance.
- There is a buffer. You need a balance of starting balance plus maximum drawdown — $52,000 on a 50K — before withdrawing at the full 80% split. After that, withdrawals are allowed from day one; requests of $250 or less carry a $50 fee.
PRO accounts must place at least one trade per week, can’t use bots or algorithms, and must be flat around FOMC, NFP and CPI releases. Positions are closed automatically at 4:55 p.m. ET.
Sizing for an intraday drawdown
On a 50K PRO account, an intraday trailing $2,000 drawdown means a trade that runs $600 in your favor and then reverses to breakeven has already moved your floor up $600. Many traders cut size until the buffer is built: risking $200 per trade on MNQ ($2 per point) with a 20-point stop is five contracts. Use the futures calculator and test the Test rules in the prop firm challenge simulator.
Who it suits
