Our verdict
The5ers is one of the longest-running forex prop firms, known for static loss limits and scaling plans that grow your account as you hit profit milestones. High Stakes is the mainstream two-step challenge; Hyper Growth and Bootcamp trade a lower entry cost for tighter limits or more steps. It suits patient forex traders who value predictable rules over the fastest possible payout.

- Scaling plans add capital and raise the split as you hit targets

Cons
- Three profitable days of at least 0.5% are required in each High Stakes step
- Hyper Growth's daily pause and 6% stop-out are tight for volatile pairs and gold
Overview
The5ers has funded forex traders since 2016 and built its reputation on scaling: hit a profit milestone on a funded account and the firm increases your capital, and often your profit split. Its loss limits are static — measured from your starting balance rather than trailing your highest balance — which makes them easier to plan around than the trailing drawdowns common at futures firms.

High Stakes rules by size
| Account | Step 1 target | Max loss | Daily loss | Profitable days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10K | $1,000 | $1,000 | $500 | 3 days of $50+ |
| 25K | $2,500 | $2,500 | $1,250 | 3 days of $125+ |
| 50K | $5,000 | $4,000 | $2,000 | 3 days of $250+ |
| 100K | $10,000 | $8,000 | $4,000 | 3 days of $500+ |
Step 2 needs 5%, again with three profitable days. Leverage on High Stakes is up to 1:100.
Payouts and scaling
High Stakes funded accounts start at an 80% split, which rises as the account scales. You can request a payout 14 days after the funded account starts and every 14 days after that, with a $150 minimum; larger accounts have a per-request cap. Each time you make 10% on a funded High Stakes account, you become eligible to scale up. Some accounts also carry a consistency rule for payouts.
Sizing within the limits
On a 100K High Stakes account the daily limit is $4,000. Risking 0.5% ($500) per trade allows eight full losses before the daily limit — more room than most traders need. A 25-pip stop on EUR/USD at $500 of risk is 2.0 standard lots ($500 ÷ (25 × $10)). Check any trade with the position size calculator, and run your stats through the prop firm challenge simulator with your program’s limits before paying.
