Prop firms change their rules constantly, and a change to a payout split or drawdown can matter more than the price. Each month we list the changes that affect the firms we review, and update our reviews to match.
Changes at firms we review
| Date | Firm | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| Oct 20 | Take Profit Trader | Profit inside the PRO buffer is now paid at a flat 50%; withdrawals above the buffer stay at 80%. |
| Oct 20 | MyFundedFutures | Pro plan redesigned: sim-funded accounts trade 3, 6 or 9 minis (was 5, 10 or 15). Older Pro accounts keep the old rules. |
| Oct 9 | MyFundedFutures | Tier 1 news trading allowed in every evaluation and on Builder; still banned on funded Rapid and Pro accounts. |
| Oct 30 | MyFundedFutures | Transition to live now triggers at a single $5,000 total requested, across plans. |
| Oct 20 | Apex Trader Funding | Intraday Performance Accounts now have a tiered daily loss limit, like EOD accounts. Intraday evaluations still have none. |
| Oct 20 | Lucid Trading | LucidFlex best-day limit set at 40% of profit, or 50% with a paid add-on at checkout. |
| Oct 13 | Topstep | The CPI news restriction became “Tier 1 News Events”, now covering CPI, FOMC decisions and press conferences, and NFP. |
| Oct 27 | FTMO Futures | The consistency rule now applies during the evaluation only. |
| Oct 9 | E8 Futures | Accounts bought from October 1 get four payouts (was five). |
| Nov 1 | E8 Markets | Server time changed to UTC+2 (was UTC+3), which shifts daily-loss resets by an hour. |
Elsewhere in the industry
- Bulenox moved to a 90% split from the first dollar and added a 50% cap per request from the fourth payout.
- Top One began selling a no-daily-loss-limit add-on at checkout only.
- Elite Trader Funding capped sim-funded accounts at 20 per trader.
What it means for you
If you trade at Take Profit Trader, plan on building the full buffer before withdrawing, or accept the lower split inside it. MyFundedFutures Pro traders should check which version of the rules their account is on. Apex intraday traders now need a daily stop on funded accounts: size it with the futures calculator.
